Jane Haskell Rolla Public Schools School Board Member: 2005-Current
"I first met Craig when he was serving as the Student Representative on the Rolla School Board. Craig was always so personable and pleasant. His thirst for knowledge and passion for learning was so refreshing. Craig always went above and beyond in his quest for understanding Board policy. What a wonderful talent we had in that young man. He has certainly continued to show his talents and has excelled in his professional career. Craig is a caring young man who has so much talent!!"
Chuck Basye State Representative 47th District (R)
"I believe Mr. Craig Stevenson would be an excellent choice for serving on the Hallsville, Missouri School District Board of Education. He has gained experience in higher education issues while employed with the University of Missouri Legislative Affairs Office, which is valuable experience that he can apply in this position. Mr. Stevenson also has a passion for improving the lives of children in general which will serve him well when faced with difficult issues as they arise.
He and his wife have been active as foster-parents for disadvantaged children by opening up their hearts and their home, which is just another testament to the fact that Mr. Stevenson is for the children and will do what is right by the children. I wholeheartedly endorse Mr. Stevenson for the Hallsville Board of Education."
Caleb Rowden State Senator: 19th District (R)
"I have had the privilege of knowing Craig and Brittney for several years now. Craig is a hard-worker with a strong moral compass. His integrity and leadership qualities are something that are needed right now on the Hallsville School Board. Hallsville Schools have some challenging times ahead, but any time there is a challenge, there is also an opportunity. I think Craig is the right guy to help lead a conversation about the opportunities ahead for Hallsville's students, parents, and teachers in 2016 and beyond. I wholeheartedly support his efforts to join the Hallsville School Board and encourage you to do the same."
Michael Butler State Representative 79th District (D)

Keith Strassner Rolla Public Schools Former President, Rolla School Board: 2002-2017
"I’ve known Craig and his family since we first came to Rolla nearly 20 years ago. I was serving on the Rolla School board when this high school student approached the board with an amazing idea, that a student should be a non-voting member of the board to bring the student's perspective to the discussion and deliberations of the School board, after all he reminded us what you do each week has a huge impact on us. The board listened and challenged him to develop a workable policy, the policy was adopted by the Board and Craig joined the Board as its first Student Representative. Over the years Craig and I visited with other schools and presented and Missouri School Board Association meetings advocating this idea. It has been adopted by a number of districts across the state.
Craig was the and continues to be a strong advocate for high quality public education. His ability to listen to all sides of an issue, his attention to learning the facts of a situation and his ability to understand and solve complex problems are all skills of a great public servant. His heart is focused always on doing the right thing. I know Craig will make a great Board Member for all the patrons and most importantly students of the Hallsville School district."
