Whew! It’s going to be a tough week for everyone. The first full week of classes. Let’s all support our kids, teachers, administrators, staff, and parents this week. They will need it.
Last Wednesday was also the first school board meeting of the academic year. It’s been a busy time for the board of education. Below, I highlight three main discussion items and then discuss my thoughts/opinions. I’ll leave you with 5 of my personal opinions and perceptions.
Town Hall Thoughts: I’m all-in with being an informed citizen and supporter of our schools. I attended the Town Hall, this Board meeting, and was gracious and thankful for Jon Bequette to meet with me on August 15. After the Town Hall, I sent an email to the Board and Mr. Downs to describe my thoughts and experiences. It was lengthy, but here is the jist:
