My close friends know that today is an exciting day in my life. Every election day, I get a giddy feeling. Yes, I'm a political nerd. I'm also proud to be in the United States and live in this state. Participating in the political process by voting is something we shouldn't take for granted.
Today is of particular uniqueness -- because it's the first time my name actually is appearing on a ballot. Running for elected office is a humbling experience. I'm grateful for everyone who has supported and encouraged me throughout this process. Now, it's out of my personal control and there's a definitely a vulnerability that I am feeling today because of the uncertainty. I hope that as you go to the ballot box today, that you consider voting for me (Craig Stevenson). I'm thankful for this experience and for all of those who are in our community working hard to provide a quality education for our children. I hope that you give me the opportunity to give back by serving on the Hallsville Board of Education. Thank you very much! Happy Voting!
